"OUR FUTURE" foundation

The “Our Future” foundation was founded by Charmaine and Rod in 2005. The foundation was put together to educate, inspire and empower youth 12-21 years of age. From the Options and Opportunities program to The Basic Life Skills workshops the Our Future foundation does its part in giving back to the community. We recognize when you know better you do better and with each program this motto has been proven.

Our feature program for 2011 and 2012 is The Basic Life Skills workshop for males 12-19 years of age. This five week program will consist of Life Esteem 101, Automotive 101, Home Maintenance 101, Banking and Credit 101 and a Rites of Passage ceremony. This program will leave the youth with the ability to:

·         Know history that reflects him in a positive way

·         How to tie a tie

·         How to change a flat tire

·        How to plaster a hole in the wall

·         Hang curtains

·         Balance a check book

·         Maintain good credit and what good credit means and much more

We want to thank our partners, Home Depot, Men’s Wearhouse, Uncle Frank’s Maintenance, Regency Maintenance, Café Fuzion and Omega Psi Phi and a crew of male volunteers who are absolutely incredible.
