HAVE THE HEALTH YOU DESIRE

When it comes to becoming healthier where do we begin? Well, we have to first observe what is our starting point and what are or goals. How do we even think about our health, and what has been our beliefs regarding wellness. Let me define for you what I have been teaching others and applying for over thirty years. Health is having the vitality and capacity to have the vibrant energy to be able to do the things you love to do your entire life. Health is a measureable function where one can see themselves improving physically and emotionally in all aspects of one’s life. In other words being healthy and becoming healthier is much different than just feeling fine.
The first secret and first step to get healthier is changing some old beliefs about ourselves. Do you know that all of us are taught from childhood more how to be sick than be healthy. We actually have been taught that childhood ailments and conditions such as asthma, allergies, colic, learning problems, pain, are simply things we will outgrow, yet we are given medication for these symptoms, without addressing the cause of the problems. We are raised by the television, radio, and magazines that advertise and sell us unhealthy food, and drugs as a lifestyle. It is easy to see why by the time children become adults we do not think twice about taking medicine, and call most of our health problems; normal. We are led to belief that high blood pressure, diabetes, arthritis, and other diseases occur because we have gotten older and because others in our family have had these similar problems. If this is what we believe, sadly we do nothing different and health problems continue to get worse.
But what if we began changing what we believe and began changing what we do?
The answer is basic, fundamental, and true, each of us would get healthier preventing problems from occurring as well as reversing conditions that already exist. We would begin to have more energy, feel more alive, and have more joy in our lives. We would begin to lose weight if we were overweight, we would begin to discover all the relationships in our lives improve, we would feel better discovering problems we had claimed for years as normal, disappear. We would also discover that our health like a garden requires specific visions, strategies, and actions to ultimately become a healthy harvest. We also would discover that being healthy like having an abundant garden is a lifestyle.
We are going on a journey, and like all journeys there are guides….We look forward to guide you to the life you truly want and deserve, to become the best you can be.
Here are some specific areas to observe in your life beginning this journey
- Begin to write down what you eat each day
- Begin to observe your conversations about food, and your cravings.
- Begin to observe your exercise routine or lack of it.
- Begin to observe your feelings about your own body.
- Begin to observe the relationships in your life. Do you feel respected and appreciated in these relationships.
- What have you learned about yourself and what do you appreciate about yourself.
- What are your goals for your physical health, your career, and for the relationships in your life.
Most important the journey of healing and wellness can be a joyous experience. Let us all have fun as we are willing to learn and change from old thinking patterns, into new healthy thinking patterns. Like the title of this article is, “Have The Health You Desire”. So what do you desire? Your wish is your command!
